Failed nclex 3 times already help plssssss.. :(

hey guys Im actually new here, like some of you, I also failed the nclex thrice already and I feel so lost and I am becoming frustrated. I am a BSN grad batch 2009 and i took my frst nclex april of 2010. I used lipincott's nclex 4000 questions finished all 4000 and I attended a 2 day review here in NJ. I really felt confident going to the testing center and I actually felt good after taking the test. I was excited to go home to do the PVT to my dismay it lead me to to the cc. My world just crumbled since i really felt good about that exam. I took a month break to recover and found myself scheduling for another exam (2nd chance). Then again i failed (PVT trick again). It didn't hurt that much compared to the first one. I promised myself I'll be ready the 3rd time. I went to kaplan and even answered all the modules online and got a pretty high score 80 - 87%. My saunders book (4th edition) was just sitting in my chair and just decided to read it. Believe or not I finsihed the whole book and answered all the practice questions in every chapter! I told to myself there's no way i will fail this time. My exam was earlier this day march 30 and yes i really felt good about this exam. I even remember the majority of my questions. And yes i did the PVT and YES again it went to the cc page. . I cant actually sleep right now thinking what did i do wrong and what else will i need to do. i feel so lost and i feel so stupid.

So i actually know where you're coming from it just sucks cuz i really wanted to be a nurse and someday be a nurse practitioner. The other thing is that i'm the only who's not yet landing a permanent job. All my siblings are nurses (LPN) and im the only one who graduated w/a bachelors degree so u can imagine the pressure im dealing with since my mom is a Nursing supervisor and have been a nurse here in NJ for the past 20 years. My moms connections kept asking her if i passed so you see, I have a job waiting for me i just need my liscense.

Anyone here from NJ? if u want lets form a study group since majority of you here had first hand exp how cruel nclex.

I am also in NJ and failed twice and took the third one 2 days ago and waiting for quick result. I am dying to see the result...........;;;

Hi, I took my NCLEX LPN more than a week ago, and this was also my 3rd time and just found out that I failed, I did not try the PVT because I don't believe in it. But boy, I guess PVT is accurate. Also a lot nursing forums I read that if the computer stops at 85, that's a good sign. Based on my experience I am convinced, that it is true because I usually answer all the 205 questions and failed. Right now I feel tired and so annoyed because I really study hard and I am ready to pass my 3rd time, but I guess I'm wrong :no: I don't know what style of studying to do next, it's just a lot of money put to waste as well as effort. I just wanna pass and be an LPN, that's all:(

Hello babymay! Don't be discouraged. There are so many people who took this exam more times than you took it and finally passed the exam. If this is what you really want in life then go for it. Be an LPN. Don't let anything stop you from what you want. Just continue on studying. When I did my RN-NCLEX, I really devoted my time of studying from a.m to p.m. I did so much practice with the cd on the computer. I wrote on my notebook my objective and my study plan and made it sure to myself that I would stick to that plan. For example, for the first two weeks my objective was to finish answering the questions of chapter I to chapter 12. Then the following two weeks I devoted it on answering the next remaining chapters. Then for another 3 weeks my target was to answer 1000-1500 questions on the cd and made it sure that I read all the reasons either I made a wrong or a correct answer. It depends on your studying habit what really works for you. Also, have some relaxing time, you need that after squeezing your brain of finding the answers to those practice questions. Practice practice and practice a lot and a lot of cd questions and your brain will get use of answering them. Another important thing, I find that doing exercises everyday even just for 30 mins of walking exercises and eating nutritious foods helps a lot of understanding and answering those questions. It really works well for me. And the most important thing, prayers. God is just there watching over you and listening to your prayers. Don't give up. You might not have it now, but the right time will come. Just be very patient. Good luck and I wish you the best for your coming exam.
