Failed Nclex

Take a break for a week and then come back to studying with a new feeling. In my opinion the nclex is about think like a nurse. If u went through nursing school u have the knowledge and ability to pass the test. Kaplan is a great tool if used correctly listen to the decision teach or read the first ten chapters in that strategies book and really understand what they are saying to do when u answer application questions. Also if u are not strong in the base content the I would start there first. And last but least pray to our Lord father because with him u can conquer anything. I hope u much success!!!

Take some time off and re-assess your study needs. Yeah, NCLEX is stressful.

Don't dwell too much on "failure." Think of it as a great learning experience and take the time to clearly identify what your strengths and weaknesses are. It does take a lot of patience, prayers and ungodly persistence and dedication to remain focused. I, too, am going through the same thing.

There've been times when I just wanted to throw the books away But then I'm not one to give up so easily. So, I'll have myself some adult beverage or enjoy happy hour with friends, then dive back in to studying.

I failed the first time. What helped me to pass the second time was to do questions ALONE. I used the Saunders Q&A book and sent my son away to do errands (grocery shopping) or any little thing like that. Any time that I could get an hour or two of quiet time, undisrupted, I took it. And I meticulous did question after question, reading the correct answers and rationals. I completed the entire book. Just over 1,000 questions. Took me two weeks. I got 60% of the answers right in the book. I was sure Id fail the nclex but I passed. DO QUESTIONS. They say one to two thousand.

The strategies book did not help me AT ALL. The comprehensive review book is OK. I only used it to review lab values and meds literally the morning of my test. It has much more in it than that but it was overwhelming.

I cant believe i just failed my nclex after studying so hard, read the saunders book, read PDA twice, do questions and questions and was was making 60s-70s.. I am so depressed.. Pray so hard to God, fasted, EVERYTHING, yet i was let down.. I want to give up.. is hard.... i guess is the way i am answering questions, not content.. have lost 3lbs, and sooooo depressed..
