I took nclex-rn exam while ago.i did the pvt and sad to say i got the bad pop up...any tips on passing the exam:crying2::crying2:
I'm sorry to hear this. I am in the same boat as you if the PVT really does work. I'm having a hard time because I studied sooo long and hard. I used the newest saunders book/cd and a few other review books, kaplan. I would guess I probably answered 2000 questions. I think the hardest thing is the test turned off at 75 questions. I didn't feel like it was easy. I could tell the questions where getting harder (or so it seemed liked) I had SATA, alternative format questions. I just don't know what to think. I know I don't do well taking tests and this just proves it. I know I'll be a great nurse once I get a chance.

You will get your chance. always have a positive mindset.. You will be an RN... :)
My prayers are for you for all Nclex takers.... that we may pass and start our nursing career.
Hey All,
Sad to say, but the PVT really does work. I tested on the 29th as well. I did the PVT on the yestersday and was able to get to the CC page to pay. I finished with 109 questions. I didn't think I did horribly, but I was sure I didn't do great, I thought I did enough to pass. One of my friends got 109 questions too, but she passed. I thought that I prepared well. I did an ATI review course and answered 3000 questions. At this point I'm not really sure what to do in preparation for the second time. I live in GA so I'm able to re-register in 45 days.
If anyone has any suggestions, please share!
You all I too took the the test on 30th and failed with all 265 I used kaplain, saunders, lippincott, and ati to review for the content. I was one of the top people in my nursing program so I am at a lost I don't know what I should do. We should just keep our heads up and try again. I just pray that I can pass the second time around.
After having a couple of days to reflect on the exam. I like you wasn't sure how to approach this test for the second time. I feel like I have a very good understanding on the concept but I really suck at taking exams. I'm going to focus on LaCharity's Prioritization/delegation and assignment book and continue taking test questions. I felt like the most helpful thing to me was taking questions and reading the rationals. Know that this test is a standardized exam and it doesn't mean anything about us as a nurse!!! It sucks to fail but we're going to get it the second time and this is just a minor bump in the road. We can do it.
Good luck,
