Failed NCLEX RN NY State Again...

I dont know if im really stupid or what but ive already taken the exam 4 times already...
Had different review schools and materials...
Had my own review plan suited for myself because i know im not that smart and talented all i can do is work hard...
Had exams going from 75, 105, up to my last exam of 265...
Anybody had similar issues? Or am i the only one?
Probably some encouragement and support is all need to get back up...
I keep telling myself ill always end up being an RN its a life goal and a dream although an exam is the only thing standing in front of me...
Id like to hear if anybody took it same as me or probably more?
I love this site for the supportive users who help people out even though they already passed their exams...
Just bummed out again is all...

Hi john, I know how u feel I took the exam more times than you did but I am never going to give up. I made it through nursing school God will help me to make it through the exam. I always wanted to be a nurse since I was a little girl and I am never giving up. Next month I am going to kill that beast for good.

Great to hear you're not giving up! Same here as soon as i can take the exam again i too will finish it for good. Its the only thing that's keeping us from our dream job! Good luck to both of us!

i had the same experience as you getting everything together and start over again use different techniques and will see the difference doing the same................will give exam in march ahain 5 th try

We can do and kill that beast for good. Just have confidence and have fa ith and beleive that we will be nurses next month.

we're on the same track.The first time I tooled the NY Nclex state exam I was very confident that I can hit it 'coz I stopped at 75q but after 3-4hrs I tried the PVT trick and I failed.I was so lost that time and I really want to give up until I decided to take it again.I took my 2nd exam but sad to say it's like deja vu. I don't know what to do my friends passed their nclex last year and my family keep on comparing me (w/c is I hate most,I was emotionally hurt and depressed,they don't know how it feels). On Monday I will take nclex for the 3rd time, now I am claiming it (crossed fingers). I do kaplan review class (although didn't finish everything), la charity book and read saunder. Do not give up we will be an RN in God's perfect time!pray pray pray!-pls include me on your prayers-

Yes thats true the nursing school is the hard part. This is only an exam. And the real challege is working at a hospital sa RNs.

Yeah i had the issue with me being compared to as well to most of my friends who already passed and my dad who is really smart. But just keep your head up high and we'll all pass in the right time, who knows it may be right around the corner for us. We may not be comparable to other people who passed the test in 1 shot but we're still gonna pass and be RN.s like the rest of them. Yes i will keep praying and working hard, you too will be in my prayers so you can pass your exams as well! Good Luck to all of us!

Don't be sadden by your test results. You are not stupid. After all, you have gotten through nursing school. The test does get tricky sometimes. But don't fret! Be calm and read each question thoroughly. I encourage you to work with just Kaplan and do all the questions that the course provides. Technically, you don't really need to read the whole book. Go over some of the topics that you have trouble with and understand what is going on. For the NCLEX, it's not solely based on memorization skills, just basic conversions, and if you can break down the difficult medical terms, you'll be able to find the answer. The NCLEX really wants to test your ability to apply basic SAFE nursing care. Trust me, I've been in your shoes. GOOD LUCK TO YOU ALL taking the NCLEX. Believe in yourself that all of you can do it!
