Hi, i received my board exam result today and i didnt pass. This is my 2nd time failing the NCLEX-PN exam and i'm slowly becoming depressed. Can someone suggest a good review material for NCLEX-PN? I used Saunders, but it still didn't help. Im looking for a NCLEX-PN review classes in California, but can't seem to find out. Please any suggestions or tips to help me pass my next NCLEX-PN exam will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Not sure what part of CA you live in.....I found this on the BON site.

It links you to all NCLEX review courses...Hope this helps...

Hello,

Sorry to hear about your unfortunate experiences with the NCLEX-PN. Kaplan has a good website that you can sign up for that will give you some good tips on being successful with your next test. Mosby's NCLEX review is also good. Some other things that may help is to make sure you're not under a lot of stress and don't have a lot on your mind while you're trying to test. Go in with a positive attitude and most of all, don't read too much into the questions. A lot of people do this but the best thing to do is go with your first instinct if you absolutely do not know the right answer. Hope this is of some help.

hey!I am doing good so far.I just completed OB and Ill complete med-surg on the 18 of this month.Im knocking on the door of level four now!!I cant wait.:redbeathe

I know how disappointing it must feel to be unsuccessful on any NCLEX. Remember it is not a reflection of your ability or success as a nurse.

I graduated over 10 years ago with a BSN and never took the NCLEX-PN until this year in June. I studied for 5 to 6 months using Saunders Comprehensive NCLEX-PN and passed it the first time. I exclusively focused on studying from Saunders b/c I read many good things about it from other test takers.

One additional comment: If you are a recent graduate, I would recommend you save your money invest it in the Saunders Comprehensive NCLEX-PN book and change your study approach. I used a lot of index cards and wrote down important information. I dedicated my time to studying and sacrificed my social life.

I also did it with a newborn and lack of sleep. So you can absolutely do it. If you are still concerned about doing it on your own I would give Suzanne's plan a try. People speak of it with high regard. I intend to use it for the NCLEX-RN.

Best of Luck!!!!!

thank you everyone for the response :)

Im sorry you didnt pass..Dont give up If being a nurse is whats in your heart you'll get there! GOod Luck!
