Hello guys! I'm new here and I need some advice on what to do and how to study for the nclex pn.... I took my test and ended up answering up to 205 questions. When I answered the 85th question I was praying to God to please shut down my computer... but it did not and I continued answering and when it reached to 175 thats the time that my brain quits on me.. I just clicked and clicked... I don't care anymore... I know It's useless and that I'm already dead..... The test were so hard and the wordings were difficult to understand in some point. I had a lot of CONFERENCE QUESTIONS, (23) SATA, ( 8) DRAG THE STEPS TO THE RIGHT, (5) CALCULATIONS, you name it I had it all.... I was crying after my test and I didnt know why that happened to me.. I did the PVT right after I went down the elevator and it asked for my CC--- Failed! Now I'm picking up myself again and trying to study again.. I bought a lot of books Nclex PN flashcards, Lippincott 250 questions the new format, I will be using my Saunders 4th edition again and I bought the Kaplan strategies.....
I used the Saunders 4th edition (green book) and ATI, Nclex mastery apps and exam cram 3rd edition but I think the wordings were not the same as what I had during the exam... kindly give me some advice, study guide with the latest Nclex test style..
oh btw, my results were all Near the standard passing= failed
Thank you so much..

You should check out some of the other threads here. There has been a lot of great advice previously given.
Thank you, I did check out some from the comments from the threads. They were so helpful but I needed some advice from those who just took the test with the newly revised nclex test from April 2014

Do they still give scrap paper? If so, the first thing to do is to write down your basic calculations. Then you do not forget them when you get a question.
Second, take your NCLEX books and take the tests. Correct them. See where it is you are not answering the questions correctly. Review those items. Take another test. See if you have improved.
REMEMBER do NOT read into the question. Take it at face value. Do NOT change your answers. Come to find out 9 times out of 10 that you were correct the first time.
See if you can go to your school and if there's a study group. Sometimes it is helpful to go over questions with others.
Take those notecards (with the questions that you did not answer correctly on your test you took from book) and go over them. When you are standing in line, when you are eating lunch, when you are having coffee.....
Don't ever get into a place where you are mindlessly clicking answers. The machine may NOT shut off at 85 questions. And that's ok, gives you a chance to right yourself.
Finally, if your school allows you to audit classes, see if you can sit in on test prep, or any of the specific classes that you are having trouble with.
Deep breath!

You are not allowed to brain dump ie write down the calculations or anything when you get in. I just took my nclex this month and that is what they informed me. Otherwise, I agree with jedelpn.
