Failed the NCLEX now what??

Once you get your CPR you will be able to see where your weak areas were. Once you know that, try to focus on studying those specific areas. Does Kaplan have a re-mediation course that you can take if you fail? You might look into doing that. If you feel you struggle with SATA questions, you might try to practice as many SATA questions as you can prior to taking your next exam to become comfortable with them. Lacharity and Saunders SATA CD might be of assistance. When it comes to SATA, remember to use the True/False approach and remember to stay calm. Good Luck.

Also, try looking over the Kaplan study tips. I focused mostly on how to take the test as opposed to doing questions because I knew there would be questions that I didn't know the answer too. I did this and passed in 75 questions

As the others have said, wait for the CPR and see where it says you have weaknesses. If you're near passing in all areas, try focusing on how to take the NCLEX test instead of content. Normal test-taking strategies may not work so well for this kind of exam because it's not a simple "vomit the answer" type of exam that only tests rote memory. Your exam probably "found" that you are really horrible at SATA so it hammered you with them. They're really just complicated-looking T/F questions where each "answer" just has to be evaluated as to whether it's true (satisfies the question 100%) or not. If any part of an answer isn't true, then it's false. Once you've gone through all of the answers on each SATA, submit and move on.

Test-taking for the NCLEX is just different from other exams. Hopefully your program had you taking exams that were written NCLEX style and tested you in similar ways.

You passed nursing school. You probably know the material. Wait for the CPR and adjust as necessary and take a look at how you approach the NCLEX.
