failed nclex.. i need help!

im new here, and i just found out yesterday that i didn't pass the nclex-rn.. it was my 1st time btw, and im just trying to overcome the grieving process ryt now..:cry: anyway i dont know pretty much what to do ryt now.. ive been self studying with saunders 4th ed, and as the results show, it didn't quite cut it.. im thinking of review centers/programs.. any review centers that u can recommend? im on SoCal by the way.. ive also heard about "suzanne's program".. dunno much about it.. but im hearing positive stuff about it on the other threads.. i just know that it requires saunders 4th ed, which sounds good cuz thats the material ive been using.. any response will be helpful.. thnx!!

i took my exam last dec 8, i recieved my results last dec 22.. im just pulling myself together now and im just tryng to enjoy the holidays.. tnx for the support!:redbeathe i really do hope you pass!! best of luck to you!! let me know what happens ok?

hi, thanks for the wishes, got my result now for about 17days of waiting finally i passed..i never thought to passed as u can see on my first message but thank god he made me passed this..i hope you pass too when you retake your exam..

Hi 0906! I just want to ask what may be the problem why the result of your exam was delayed? Did you also apply for CA BRN? Have you seen your name on the website right b4 or right after you got the mail? Congratulations to you! Now, it's me who's grieving bec I think I failed. I took the exam Dec 30 and up to now, I can't see my name on the website. I know the staffs here said that CA can take about 3-10 days but someone here also took the exam on the same day as I am and has seen his name posted Jan 2...so maybe I failed...=(

Try suzanne's plan.... Its posted as a sticky in this forum... All you have to do is purchase the book and Suzanne helps you out with the rest....Just follow the instructions to a tee.. Many people on here have had much success with this plan... I definitely recommend this.... If you need reassurance just type suzannes plan in the search andread some of the stories of people that passed using her plan... Noone has failed yet. (as far as from what I read).

hi,,yeah i applied for CA BRN,,i never saw my name on the site actually till now my name wasnt on the site still,,i know how you feel..it really makes u insane..=),,actually i really dont expect to pass since ive red here that somebody passed her nclex and came out for 3days after the exam and she took the exam after mine so what should i expect she got her result and how about mine? i even prepare my retake forms already bec.im hopeless..then after 17days of waiting finally the letter came stating i passed =) so dont lose hope till you got your letter..dont base your passing on the site..well if you are a citizen you can easily saw ur name if u passed but my case im not, im a foreign but im staying in cali that time and took the exam there..so i really cant see my name yet coz i have to give them my ssn before they'll release my permanent license,,im back home now =),,to summarize: i never saw my name even i recieved the letter now stating that i passed..the letter is the official and more reliable..i dont know the cause of delay and i dont want to know anymore hehe since im happy coz i passed

Oh I see. That's the reason why. My case is a bit different because I do have ssn but I can't see my name on the website. I am sure that they got my ssn so maybe I failed. =(

dont lose hope till you get ur letter..wait for the letter and pray for it..i hope you'll pass

Hi 0906! That's so nice of you =) Thank You! Yeah, I've got no way to go but to wait for another week or so...and it drives me crazy!!! I hope that God will make a miracle for me this time 'coz I can't think of anything that could possibly delay my result...this is my 2nd take, If they didn't get my ssn, then they wouldn't issue the result of my first exam...second, I don't think that new year has got something to do with the delay because it's been 10 days...Oh my! I'm sure I failed again! =( But still I will pray for me and for everyone. If I fail, then maybe it's not yet my time =(

No prob nancy, its my pleasure to cheer you up as well..yeah you just have to wait..but hey failing is not the end of your life. dont allow yourself to be so depressed with it. Go out and enjoy life. If you fail, thats ok..grieve for some time but not too long =), being down would not help you solve your problem. if you fail, take some rest for a while and review again, focus on your weaknesses, then apply again for the exam and take it. you will not pass your nursing education if you are not capable of being a nurse, failing the exam doesnt guarantee that one is a dumb. maybe theres a lot of factor that contributes your failing. try to be optimistic,,think of the law of attraction,,the more you tell yourself that you fail then it will most likely happen so tell yourself you'll pass it and seek guidance to God. ask for forgiveness if you didnt take ur review seriously but tell him that you really need this. thats how i pray. =) you just have to be honest to God if you didnt gve ur best, God will always be there no matter what he just wants you to call him and tell him where you've gone wrong and if he thinks that you really need this he'll give it you. as ive mention, i was hopeless after the exam since i didnt take review classes plus i didnt review seriously so i didnt expect to pass, i may not deserve to pass since i didnt gve my best i told him that i really need this for me and my family, just have faith and let him lead you..

Now I know why God let you pass this crucial examination... to let you be an inspiration to others... you're so blessed! Well I may not pass this exam for now (though i don't have the letter yet) but i feel blessed enough because members from this website are so comforting and understanding. Maybe God didn't let me pass the first time and probably this time because I've never felt so thankful for all the good things in life that he has given me. I know the feeling, I didn't pass my first NCLEX either, but passed on my 2nd try with 85 questions after reviewing material I did not go over the 1st time around. (see my reply to mellee in "trying to prepare to test for 3rd time..." )

It is tough, but take some time off for grieving (I took 2 wks off and it helped) before you hit the books again. BTW, I only used Kaplan NCLEX Review (main source for studying) and Lippincott (just to check on my weak content areas).
