Hi! I took NCLEX this past July and didn't pass using Kaplan as my only source of studying. I did all Qtrainers and Qbanks and watched 90% of content videos on Kaplan's website. My school selected Kaplan for us. I had 101 questions the first exam. I received my CPR and was near passing on all areas and above in 1 area.

I revamped and wanted to try a whole new way to study. I heard great things about the HURST review so I purchased it. I felt I needed content since I only made it to 101 questions. Hurst was awesome for content (10 times better than Kaplan's content videos or book) and I felt like the 6 practice quizzes were very similar to NCLEX. I also used the Lacharity's prioritization, delegation, and assignment book and did all the chapters! Helped tremendously as well!

Second time around I got 75 questions with ton of SATA. And during my exam I felt like almost all my questions were covered in the Hursts review!

I know Kaplan pushes strategy but for me I feel like if you aren't strong in content the strategy is useless! Hurst provides strategies as well!

Good luck studying, you can conqueror this exam! ;-)

Nclex knows that we will apply the ABC's...because that is what they told us in school. Pick the Air first! But Nclex will give you an Air way answer but it is not always the best answer. Knowing your content will help you in Nclex and when you are interviewing for a job!

Good luck!
