I found out yesterday that I failed nclex! This was my first time taking the exam and I am devastated. My dream is to become a CRNA and I am planning on retaking the exam asap. So my question is, will the schools know that I did not pass nclex the first time around? If so, do they hold it against you? Thanks!
Not to burst your bubble or make you feel bad, but one of my interview questions (and one of my classmates as well) was "How many times did you
have to take the NCLEX before you passed?" It was at the University of Cincinnati, BTW. Now, I don't know what they would have done or said if I said more than one...I'm sure you could come up with an answer like, "I didn't prepare well enough and I have learned from my mistakes." Sorry for the negative post but I just wanted to tell you honestly that I was asked this question.
Schools have no idea if you took the NCLEX 1 time or 5 times, unless you tell them!! I took the NCLEX twice (hangover the 1st time) now Im an SRNA.. Goodluck!!!

90 is too long.. If I were you, I wouldn't wait for 90 days. May be you can apply for license from other states where waiting time is shorter... Have you heard about COMPACT license from some states that may permit you to works in so many states, which may also include your state.
Compact license requires that you are a resident of that state, and are just working in another state. You must contuinue to maintain the legal residence in that state. It isn't a license that allows you to live all over and only have one license.

Wrong thought, it takes longer to get the ATT from another state where your school is not located. The application also asks if you have ever taken NCLEX-RN. It would be perjury to put that she did not taken it.
Sorry, but definitely wrong advice given here.
