I have a question!! how long it take the BRN to send you a new att for your second attempt??I have already paid for pearson vue and i just sent off my retake application yesterday(it was received today). It's making me anxious thinking about having to wait weeks for another att!
it took about 3 weeks to get my new ATT! So much faster than the first time around!

I graduated from a California ADN program in May 2014. I was your average nursing student... just praying to make it to the end. In our nursing program we were pushed with ATI in the worst way and it gave me a negative mind towards ATI.
Due to the backing up of the application process I received my ATT in June, and scheduled my test for a month later in early July.
I used Hurst. I went to two in class sessions during the program, and towards the end. Then i re watched every single video over again before my NCLEX. Along with Hurst I used The NCLEX Mastery App and an Alternate Format book. I felt ready, nervous and very anxious.
I FAILED the first time. 91 questions in an hour and a half.
I left crying of course. I also cried even more after the "bad pop up".
I knew I would end up taking it again so as soon as possible (actually i think the same day) i sent in my money order and a new application. So I moped around for a good solid week. And all together took a MONTH off from studying to plan my wedding and move into a new home.
The SECOND time:
I wanted to take a new approach to this NCLEX monster. I felt as if i knew my content... so i researched Kaplan.
I ended up biting the bullet and spending the $500 for Kaplan in a near by town. I also bought
-La Charity Prioritization, Delegation, and Assignment AND -Exam Cram 1340 Questions.
i HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend these two books!!!
After a week long class of Kaplan I started the questions in the QBank. Doing 150 a day.
I also completed both of the other books i listed.
READING EVERY QUESTION, EVERY ANSWER, AND EVERY SINGLE RATIONALE until I understood them. (Theres your core content.)
Nine Days before the Exam I took The Kaplan Trainers 4-7, getting 5-10% ABOVE the scores they wanted. I felt ready this time. Came at it with a different approach with strategies and how to "answer" a question.
I took my test Tuesday the 23rd.
i went through 190 Questions, in 4 long awful hours. TONS of Priority (PDA BOOK came in handy!!!!) and TONS of SATA.
I went home to do the new "good pop up" and bam. I got it.
This morning i read my license number right by my name that said Registered Nurse.
YOU HAVE TO FOCUS. YOU HAVE TO HAVE A STUDY PLAN. If you are a bad test taker like i was... make time in the day for yourself. I didn't do 6-8 hours a day, sun up to sun down studying.
i practiced practiced practiced SO MANY questions.
Feel free to comment if you have any questions for me! :)
