Failed first NCLEX attempt

Published

I failed my first NCLEX attempt. Does anyone have suggestions as to what I need to study more? Maybe what worked for you? Thanks in advance!

Ummm.....I did Kaplan. How did you study? When did your screen cut off???

Virtual ATI, and my screen cut out at the full amount of questions. I got the results in the mail and it said I was close in all subjects but clearly not close enough :(

Oh...we had to do ATI in my school, and we hated it. I don't think ATI is even written by nurses. Thats why I choose Kaplan. The video's and the book, helped me sooo much to put all of what I learned back in my head.

Are you going again?

Please give Kaplan a shot, its expensive...but it is worth it.

Specializes in Med-Surg/urology.

Sorry that you did not pass :( Our school too used ATI very very heavily..we had ATI exit exams every semester & had to homework modules from ATI as a part of our grade. In some ways I think ATI is a little bit helpful, but out of all the resources I used (ncsbn 3 wk course, ati, saunders 4e, youtube videos, allnurses guide, and kaplan), the NCLEX questions resembled Kaplan questions. Good luck on your next attempt :)
