Failed exam

I'm in my last semester of nursing school and we had our first test this week. I got a 60!!! I had a lot going on at home and clearly did not prepare enough. I've always gotten pretty decent grades and am devastated by this test grade. I was wondering if anyone started out with a horrible test grade and was able to bring their grade up. If so, what did you do differently? Thanks!

Well since you are in your last semester it is obvious that you can learn the material. Just shake the test off and go onward. If you had stuff going on at home you need to put that aside. You are close to finishing so studying should be your number one priority. All other things can wait, soon you will have graduated then you can deal with those issues.

Thank you for admitting you didn't prepare. That's the first step to fixing it...next, meet with your instructor because they can see what you need to focus on.
