  1. Biology and Chemistry go hand in hand certainly if you want to really master your study material chemistry will be valuable in your studies. I have never heard any student say Wow I think I know to much! Good luck in your studies
  2. Well since you are in your last semester it is obvious that you can learn the material. Just shake the test off and go onward. If you had stuff going on at home you need to put that aside. You are close to finishing so studying should be your number one priority. All other things can wait, soon you will have graduated then you can deal with those issues.
  3. I am currently in nursing school, and surprise I am a man! At my current school there are very few men. I do not know the exact number but maybe 10, the rest are female. As for that being a hindrance to you finding a job, not at all in fact a lot of hospitals and LTC facilities love to have men around since some patients are rather large and easier for a man to handle. The only downside to being a man in the program is that you are surrounded by women. Women tend to stick together in their own groups. But once they see you around all the time the gender thing tends to disappear. Going the CNA route is a good way to go. It is a big commitment to become a nurse, so by taking your CNA you can see if it is the right choice for you. You will not be alone there are lots of men who are nurses. If you have any other questions let me know. Best of luck in your studies!
  4. We all study best in one hour blocks. After one hour take a break go for a walk go out and get a coffee. You need to get away from your study environment and give your mind a rest. If you do something physical it is even better then you are exercising your mind as well as your body. It is working great for me. Good luck in your studies!
  5. It is possible but you are going to have to make some serious sacrifices. I am currently in nursing school, I have a part time job, I am married, and have a family. I am doing it so can you :) First thing to go is friends. I see my friends like once per year. Your true friends will understand that you are doing something that you love and they will stick with you. If they don't well you did not need them. Family is the same, you only get together at major events. You need to learn to get by with a lot less sleep. That is the big secret to getting more done. Students always complain, I wish I had more hours in the day. Well make some! You will find that you can get by on 4-6 hours of sleep. It will take some trial and error to find the right mix. Cram study time in where ever you can get it. Bring your notes to work study on your break, study while waiting for the bus, or while waiting at Tim Hortons for that much needed coffee. It is all about getting that RN once you have that then you will have time for Family, friends, vacations, etc.... Good Luck
