Hi there,
I am just wondering if I am able to write the NCLEX in the States, with a Canadian education, but have been unsuccessful with the CRNE three(3) times in Ontario. I was granted another write with British Columbia to write the NCLEX.
I just attempted the NCLEX and was unable to pass that. I don't know what to do with my degree, and I know I have the potential. I did the Saunders review,Kaplan Premier and Online review, and also took an extensive prepatory course here in Toronto. I also downloaded the NCLEX Mastery APP on my iPhone and answered all 1600 questions in their question bank several times.
I had zero distractions for 6 months. I would literally eat, sleep, study, workout, and repeat. I went into the exam room completely relaxed, ready, and confident.
If anyone has any advice on which provinces would let me write the NCLEX or even which STATES would let me I would love to hear your input.
I appreciate all of your responses and advice.
Thank You -H.

I'm sorry you've experienced so much trouble.
First, you will really need to figure out why you aren't passing. The U.S. NCLEX and the CA NCLEX are the same thing (you can take the NCLEX for the US in Canada if you want). If something doesn't change, you'll just fail again and waste $200 USD.

The NCLEX is the same in U.S. & Canada. You would need to apply to a board of nursing as an internationally educated nurse, and pay for credential evaluations. There is a faster track in some states like VA but you must be a licensed nurse in Canada so this would not apply to you. You are ineligible in several states (like Indiana) since you are not licensed by the country of education.
Know that 4 failures is indicative of a larger issue, your potential to pass decreases with each attempt. As a fifth time tester your odds of passing without significant remediation is less than 10%.
If you did pass, you would not be able to use the NCLEX pass from the U.S. to be licensed in Canada without returning to school as you already had four chances at licensing exams in Canada.
