how to expalain termination?

So I was terminated from my job. If I am applying for a new position, and get an interview, how do I explain about my termination?? Do I expalin in detail why I was terminated or just tell interviewer I was terminated?

Well, you certainly can't just say "I was terminated". The interviewer will ask you why (and it will likely be on your application form, as well).

Keep the answer honest, clear and concise. Don't "explain in detail" if it means you're going to hang yourself. Straightforward, without embellishment.

Since it might be relevant, for what offense were you fired?

Yeah, on a post like this detail about "Why?" is very important. I agree totally with first answered post, RNsRWe here.

If it is something to do with Safety, Attendence/Tardy, or Practice related, I would definetly consider an action to rectify the situation. I would sway from "blaming" the facility in anyway. I have never hired anyone terminated from a position that didn't take full responsibility and accountibility for their actions, and have a plan of rectifying the situation. (e.g. I missed alot because I had IBS, but now I have it medically under control, and I will stay in follow-up with my physician.) If it was scheduling, or a bad fit, that's a totally different story.

Best of Luck, but the best advice comes with full disclosure. It's an anonymous posting site.
