Im a paramedic for a 911 ambulance service and have been an ER tech and CNA in my time. I was taking classes at the local community college for the medic to RN bridge program; however, it seems that every time I turn around there are more requirements and hoops to jump through. I am tossing up the idea of starting at excelsior. I have been researching a lot about EC here online. I've read horror stories as well as success stories. I work full time midnights and the thought of having flexibility sounds amazing. I do have a couple questions for current or graduated EC students :)
- Do you purchase books that EC recommends to read prior to taking the final exam ?
- Does the ADN transfer if I wanted to go to another BSN school besides EC?
I am open to any other helpful tips. Thank you guys :)

Excelsior College is accredited, so credits earned while obtaining the ADN/ASN degree will transfer to many RN/BSN programs.
In fact, a longtime member of these forums with the user name of LunahRN was a paramedic who earned her ASN from Excelsior, and later, a BSN degree through an online program at a different school.
