Excelsior now accepted in Georgia?

Does anyone have the latest info on Excelsior College being accepted by the Ga BON? I am confused by what the website says. I think that GA BON is accepting if you are an LPN but you have to complete extra clinical hours. What do ya'll think?

This is covered in great detail in a long thread concerning this. Basically, you are right. LPNs who were already enrolled as of a certain date can finish the program, but they must get extra hours in order to get the license. That is what it boils down to. Look up that thread. Believe it is a sticky in the distance learning forum.

Actually LPNs who were enrolled before July 1,2008 can be licensed without any stipulations. LPN's enrolling after July 1,2008 must complete 350 precepted hours, Paramedics enrolled must complete 750 precepted hours. It looks like the biggest stipulation for LPN's is that you must have at least 3 years experience in an acute care setting aka hospital or you will be required to complete 750 precepted hours.
