Hello Everyone,
I was wondering if anyone is currently taking the Excelsior LPN to RN ... and how goes it??!!
I'm not sure of this program, but I thought I would bite the bullet & try to pass the 1st of the 7 exams required.
I am also wondering why it is that you do not have to enroll to take the 1st two exams - Health Safety & Transition? Are they easier than the 5 remaining exams, and is this their way of getting you to take the worm? Or, are they harder than the 5 remaining exams - which would "weed out" the serious from those who aren't?
Thank you!

As soon as I saw your post about not going to them, I was like OMG I almost made a big mistake lol! Yes, so I went on Excelsior College official website and I got their toll free phone number and I just called to see what days and time they're open so Monday they open at 8 a.m. so I'll be calling them at that time. I did some more research on Excelsior's website so it seems they want current license, and your pre requisites for the A.S. but they didn't indicate if the amount of years matter or not. I want to establish my schooling before I get like a part time job too.

NO!!!! They are not connected. They are not affiliated. They are not recommended. TCN is nothing more than an expensive publishing company that will sell you $10,000-$16,000 worth of non-guaranteed study guides on top of EC's fees & tuition. The "financing" is a high interest private loan (not a student loan despite what TCN sales reps say which lately people have reported some unscrupulous, illegal collection activities)
