I am absolutely frustrated with Life Span Health Diff. 2!
I need some advice! HELP!
I have been studying for three weeks and only made a 42% and 55% on the practice exams! I can't seem to comprehend any of this material.
I am very overwhelmed.
Do you think it's a good idea to put this one down and move on to Health Diff. 3?
These are my last two with the exception of FCCA and CPNE.
I have done flashcards, I have purchased the recommended books, took my own notes and I still cant obtain this much information! :banghead:

I wish I had the answer about Health Diff. 2. It's a killer test. I thought I aced it, only to end up with a "D". And now the new policy of only 2 chances is scaring me. I have rescheduled my test twice. I took the practice tests the first time, but think they are the same and I don't want to pay another 70 to take the same tests again.
I did take 3 and passed that and only have 2 and CPNE and simulations to do.
Anyone done the simulations? I can't find any info on the site about them.
Thanks and good luck!:)

What are the simulations? I have not heard of these! I am only working on Chronicity now, and have Repo/Transitions/Health Diff 1,2,3 to do...but I thought all I had left after that was FCCA and CPNE?
I have scored As on Info Lit and Heath/Saftey but these new rules of D twice and your out do scare the daylights of out me! Would this be the same at land based nursing programs as well? When I did my LPN program 20 years ago, we did need to maintain 80% in all tests, but I don't know what happened to those that did worse. Is CPNE the same? Twice only? I thought you had 3 chances to pass it prior.
i took both of them before i took the test last time. i passed both of those and knew the answers inside and out. i don't know what happened. i ended up with a "d". that is the first and hopefully the last "d" i ever get. i just don't seem to be able to differentiate these disease processes sometimes. i am so frustrated!
something that helped me prepare for the tests was actually writing all 100 of the practice tests question and answer then writing the rationals both the rationals for the questions and the ones that were incorrect. i found that a lot of the wrong answers and rationales actually gave me more/different information that would apply to other test questions.
for instance you get a question about diabetes and the answer is nph insulin but the 3 wrong answers are coumadin, digoxin, and novolog. because they each have a rationale you can learn from them as well.
i f you are having trouble pulling the information from the outline spend the money on one of the study discs. lisa arends is good but sometimes all the fonts and colors can be distracting for one person and great for another. study101 discs are all the same font no multi colors, etc which may be better for others but the info is pretty much the same pulled directly from the outlines.

Is everyone buying either Lisa Arends or study101 notes for each class? I really recommend them. We actually studied straight from the notes for maternal and transitions. They are both for sale on ebay cheap.
