Has anyone had experience with the Excelsior Graduate program? If so what did you specialize in and what did you think of it? Also, if you have heard anything about it, I would appreciate the information.

that's a good question krissy. i would also like to know how prepared you felt. i mean if you went into l&d, do u feel the maternity porportion prepared u? were your care plans really up to par and did the knowledge you gain from seld directed study do you justice. i'm already doing the excelsior program just curious as what to expect when i'm out.:uhoh21:
i never took the excelsior program myself. i was just wondering if anyone took the graduate program what they thought of it?

I do not know of anyone doing the Excelsior program for graduate school.
I would personally pick a program that has been around for awhile and has a reputation in every single state. This is going to matter with Advanced Practice credentials.................
(just my thought on the topic)

I have to pick an online graduate school. Which one or ones do you recommend? I am so confused. Thanks Krisssy

how far are you in the ec program? are you going for asn or bsn? are you going directly through ec or through a group like istudysmart.com?

What exactly is rue.? I am not familiar with that. I am just trying to figure out if going through EC and using their information is going to be enough or do I need to go through one of those other companies to get more study guides. You have to pay for EC through this other company istudysmart and they give you study guides and they schedule all your testing etc. I really need some guidance from someone who has done the EC program or is doing it.
Hi, I'm going for my asn. I'm using the studyguides from rue.I really like their studyguides. I am going way slower than I expected. I just paid rue off so I'm going to get them to send all my studyguides and textbooks' and start going crazy taking test and wipe them out. Wish me luck.
hi bjsmi27, rue is one of those publishing companies that you get great studyguides and then the required textbooks from excelsior college. you wonder if you should go through rue or istudysmart.com,or etc. that is a highly debateable question on this and many other nurse websites. i honestly wish i had bought the guides used on ebay but they are absolutely wonderful studyguides. if you can find them used do it. save yourself several thousand dollers. you can do a search on this website and find all sorts of opinions about rue and all the other publishing companies to help you make your decision. good luck
