do they ever have a writing portion?

are all the questions multiple choice questions? if not, what are they?

The nursing exams are multiple choice. They're pretty tough!

If you are going to use EC then make sure after you have enrolled to use the Free Content Guidlines offered and read the Virtual Library publications for the NC tests. I did not have this info. when I took my first NC1 and it was just by being an LPN that I even passed it because I did not have the outlines, I would have made better than a C with the online info. :rolleyes:

No writing encountered yet! I think the exams are more of applied knowledge like the NCLEX instead of just facts. It is hard to study but it's able to be done! Check out the free exam content guides- the end has some sample questions that can give you a good idea of what to expect.

I took NC 1 before enrolling so I could see how it was without the enrollment fee. The study outlines are avalible to you before enrolling I would suggest taking the practice exams as well, however they tend to be a bit more difficult that the real test. Good luck Traci
