Hello all. Which two classes can I take without having to enroll. I hear that I can take 2 classes without enrolling yet. I think one is transitions and the other one I don't know. And does anyone have the notes for those two classes that they can share so I can study along with the required material?

You can go to mystudygroup101 and purchase the notes. That's what I used to study for the course exams. It was very helpful.

Hi... it is only Transitions that you may take before enrolling. Also, all A & P and Micro must be completed and less than 5 years old. SG101 is a good resource... I bought the CD but haven't looked at it yet. I have to take LS2 & 3 first! Good luck!

Thanks Barbara. I'm currently retaking AP 2 because I got a D. Never should I have taken AP during a summer 5 week course. Micro I taking in january. Ill start off with transitions then. How much are the study guides and what's the website for study group 101?

I'm currently enrolled in Excelsior and I'm studying now for the transitions to nursing exam. I'm extremely nervous because it's a lot of material covered. I see some people talking about study group 101. Was the material useful and if so how can I purchase it. I am also worried about taking the NCLEX at the end. Does anyone know if the students who attend Excelsior do well on the state boards. Any info anyone has will be greatly appreciated. I'm just a little nervous about this whole experience and doing it alone online, but I have no choice because I have to be able to work. Thanks in advance for your feedback.

Studygroup101 has a website: www.studygroup101.com. I also highly recommend the EC practice exams.

Typically EC students do very well on the NCLEX -- it feels like another EC exam.

I just finished up the 8 Excelsior Nursing Exams. Repeated 2 exams early on, but once I got the hang of studying, I flew through the courses... My personal opinion, study guides 101 is very informative but you have to study over 1,000 pages and completely overwhelming... I made my own notes, and found at least 50% or more of my notes were on the exam. I made the outlines from the Excelsior practice exams, utilizing all information including rationales from wrong answers. I would be more than happy to share my outlines with anyone who is interested. Just send me a personal message as I don't want to post my email address......
