I am a new LPN, just passed boards two weeks ago. I enrolled in Excelsior College right out of LPN school. This is a decision I made because the idea of it sounded good...but now I am wondering if I can do it. Beginning to read the first module and cannot seem to get into it. I have 12 modules to complete for my associates in nursing and am wondering how I am going to do it. Another thing weighing heavy on my mind is the clinical weekend. I have heard many horror stories and have absolutely no confidence that I could withstand this dreaded weekend. I work in extended care which is completely different from the hospital settting and the patients are totally different, I am afraid this is really going to screw me. Are there any testing centers that people recommend/ or dont recommend going to? Any success stories to boost my confidence? Any tips on how to go about this? I need help haha....

Stop getting yourself worked up over the CPNE until the time comes. Then you will prepare for it like everyone else does who passes it. For now get your rear in gear and get through the nursing tests.

Are you wanting to work in Florida as an RN?

Max I just started the LPN-RN program through EC too. I am about to take my first test for Life Span Development in about two weeks and have started studying for my A&P. I have a 5 month old daughter who takes up most my time so I only get to study in short periods of time. Finding the time is hard for me but I LOVE the program. I feel like I am really learning and am excited about the program. I wish you good luck, just take it one day at a time.

I was on Excelsior's site earlier today and was looking around. The website said the clinical testing was done only in Columbus. Is this true? I would like to use Excelsior for LVN to RN but I'm in Texas!
