The exam format is purely multiple choice and nothing else. It is done not by paper and pen but by a computer. Whatever you have learned while you were in college are the type of questions they typically ask. The questions are sorted out automatically by set, which means that set A do not contain the same questions as set B and the number of items may vary from 50 to 75. Passing mark is 40%.

thanks for your reply.it is quite amazing.because i didn't get any reply eventhough i posted many questions regarding this issue. I got 41 marks out of 75 in twice but I failed int the examination.also whoever taken the exam they said it is different from the past that means the questions are so hard for the last 6 months.Can you help me more?

Prometric Examination for Nurses in Saudi Arabia

For nurses who want to work in Saudi Arabia, the Saudi Council Examination requires foreign nurses to take and pass the Prometric Examination.

The Prometric Exam for Nurses

In the Prometric Exam for nurses, examinees are given 2 hours to finish 70 questions in multiple-choice formats. It is a computer-based test and the result of the examinationis available immediately after the exam-Pass/ Failed.

For nursing technicians, the passing rate is 45% while for nurse specialists it is 50%. The exam for nursing tech as ff:

Nursing Fundamentals: 28%, Medical – 23%, Surgical – 20%, Pediatric – 16%

Community – 13%

While the exam for nurse specialist is composed of:Assessment – 10%, Nursing Problem – 6%, Planning – 20%, Implementation – 50%, Evaluation – 14%

To schedule a prometric exam one needs to go to http://www.prometric.com. The program to choose is Academic, Professional Licensure & Certification, Government, and Corporate.

Then choose the test provider, in this case the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties-KSA. For Nurses, the type of exam to select should either be Nurse Technician or Nurse Specialist.

In the Philippines, the accredited testing center for Prometric exam is the Thomson Prometric located at Ateneo ProfessionalSchools, 130 H. Dela Costa St., SalcedoVillage, Makati City. The contact number is (02) 892-0383. The exam fee in thePhilippines is USD90. The exam fee in Saudi Arabia is slightly lower at USD80.

Online registration would only accept payment via major credit card companies such as MasterCard, Visa and America Express.

Those who want to change their exam date or time can do so by the third calendar day prior to the appointment by using the Reschedule/Cancel option on the prometric website.
