Everest College Ontario RN program

U.S.A. California

Hello all,

I know there are already a couple of posts for this school, but reading through the threads I didn't get all the information that I was looking for and considering that they are pretty old threads I made a new one because I didn't think anyone would look at those anymore. I've already completed all my prereqs at a community college, but I don't want to wait around forever to get into the community college rn program.

Anyways, I wanted to find out for those who are already in the program or have the info. What kind of studying should I do for their entrance exam? What kind of stuff comes in the tests. I also would like to know the cost or estimated cost of the school. And how do they go about choosing the students for the program? What exactly is the application process?

I've already called the school, but the lady that answered the phone wasn't able to give me much info except for that info sessions are in August and the program starts up again in January.

And if you are already in the program, I would like to know how to do you find the teachers to be?? Would you say that this is a good academic choice??

Please help me as I live really far away from this school and I am moving out there just for the program. It is a little difficult for me to just drive over to visit the school. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

So how did your appts go this morning? Did you get schedules? We're there a lot of people there?
I went there this morning and already met a classmate, Cassandra!!!-:-)They will just give you a bunch of papers to sign...and nooooo no schedule yet, the lady said we will get a call for the Orientation next week and then probably get our schedule. :-)

Thanks for the info. Did there seem to be a bunch of people there? I only ask cuz I'm concerned I never got a call and maybe the final 40 have been called already :/

I wouldn't worry about it too much I overheard an admissions rep saying he had some students coming in to do their financials next week and your already done with that, I'm sure you will be getting a call on Monday! Praying for you girl!!! Today was just a lot of signing our lives away for the next two years lol! I do wish we would have gotten a schedule but oh well I'm sure ------------will be calling us sometime this week to let us know!

Thanks Cassandra. That does ease my mind a bit. But we all know that until that phone call comes in, it's high stress.

It's just crazy to me that it's all being done so last minute.

I completely agree I think it's because they got started a month late on interviews that this whole process is being done last minuet! Fingers crossed!!

Fingers...toes...eyes...and everything else :)

Once you get told when orientation is, you dont need to worry anymore. Just be ready for a crazy ride. Like the other student said, once you start the core nursing classes, dont expect to have a life, or even a job cause once you get into community health, your days change every week and you wont know which days you have to be in until the week before. As long as you do the work, and make the program your life, you will be fine. If you start to slack, even a little, you may find yourself in quicksand. Once you start the 3rd quarter (nursing fun.) get to know a few classmates really well and that you can trust because you guys will need to help each other alot, you wont be able to make it through alone. Thats my nickles worth of free advice.

Thank you so much for your advice! I am ready to give these next two year everything I've got! Hopefully all of us classmates stick together and help each other out :)

I agree with Cassandra. Every bit of advice or tidbit of info is helpful. I'm still hopeful they'll call me Monday since I was told at my financial appt that all was complete for my file.

I know we will bond over the two years because of the fact we are the only ones who understands what the other is going through. (That's how it was in LVN school)

Can't wait to get started

FINALLY...got my call!!!!! I'm officially in!

Got my schedule and orientation. See you all friday
