I know there are already a couple of posts for this school, but reading through the threads I didn't get all the information that I was looking for and considering that they are pretty old threads I made a new one because I didn't think anyone would look at those anymore. I've already completed all my prereqs at a community college, but I don't want to wait around forever to get into the community college rn program.
Anyways, I wanted to find out for those who are already in the program or have the info. What kind of studying should I do for their entrance exam? What kind of stuff comes in the tests. I also would like to know the cost or estimated cost of the school. And how do they go about choosing the students for the program? What exactly is the application process?
I've already called the school, but the lady that answered the phone wasn't able to give me much info except for that info sessions are in August and the program starts up again in January.
And if you are already in the program, I would like to know how to do you find the teachers to be?? Would you say that this is a good academic choice??
Please help me as I live really far away from this school and I am moving out there just for the program. It is a little difficult for me to just drive over to visit the school. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

and for those tb and other vaccines (immunization card) and lab stuffs that we have to do before its due date, can i just go in any hospital and give them packet and would they know what to do?
For the bls/cpr class go to the american heart association website I believe its www.heart.org and use the locator. I am going to the one in ontario tomorrow. It's on Guasti Rd. The direct website for the one on Guasti Rd is www.thesgcenter.com. It's the BLS class for healthcare providers (which includes CPR) but if you call them up and tell them its for the nursing program they will still let you take the class even though it says its for people who are already healthcare providers. It costs $50 for the class and $18 for the manual. As for the health packet the clinic I went to knew what to do. I just called them and explained to them that I have to get the requirements done for the RN program. I also explained that I have a packet and they told me to just bring the packet in. Let me know if you have any more questions.

one thing i want to be clear about is that on health packet it says CPR/BLS
so i thought i have to take two classes,, correct me if i am wrong..
just take one BLS class will cover CPR courses as well?
oh and one more thing, can i take online course?
can i ask you which hospital did you go, i have no regular doctor and i am new to this state and city..

The cpr certification you must obtain is the one called "CPR/BLS for healthcare providers" it is a combo of CPR and BLS in one, you DO NOT have to do 2 separate classes. The easiest way for me was to go on AHA's website and there is a way to look up classes. As far as I know you cannot take it online, but don't quote me on that
Hello, I started the program this past january. I suggest applying for the Genesis loan for any amount you would have to pay while in school. I have terrible credit and was able to get this loan. My monthly cash payments were gonna be over $400, but this loan saved my butt! It does require a minimum payment while in school to the loan company(the min. is $20), I chose $50 for mine since every penny of in school payment goes towards principle of the loan.

Ya right now Im in Anaheim, but go against traffic, so its a 35 to 40 min commute I'm willing to put up with. There should be some sort of CPR classes in Chino Hills, check the American Heart Association website. I actually found a location and got mine done the day before it was due (yikes, I know lol) so there are classes going on all the time
