Hello all,
I know there are already a couple of posts for this school, but reading through the threads I didn't get all the information that I was looking for and considering that they are pretty old threads I made a new one because I didn't think anyone would look at those anymore. I've already completed all my prereqs at a community college, but I don't want to wait around forever to get into the community college rn program.
Anyways, I wanted to find out for those who are already in the program or have the info. What kind of studying should I do for their entrance exam? What kind of stuff comes in the tests. I also would like to know the cost or estimated cost of the school. And how do they go about choosing the students for the program? What exactly is the application process?
I've already called the school, but the lady that answered the phone wasn't able to give me much info except for that info sessions are in August and the program starts up again in January.
And if you are already in the program, I would like to know how to do you find the teachers to be?? Would you say that this is a good academic choice??
Please help me as I live really far away from this school and I am moving out there just for the program. It is a little difficult for me to just drive over to visit the school. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
yes i have received my schedule. i had my f.a. appt a few wednesdays ago. i got a call back the following tuesday (6 days later) from admissions that my f.a. went thru and to come see admissions to actually enroll in the school. then from there you get to pick ur class schedule.
but with that said the school has been closed a few days for the holidays and probably will be a couple more for upcoming new years. so dont worry too much about the timing cuz theyve been lagging a little. but if i had any questions id probably contact rachel since shes really helpful
I went over there today and yeah, they told me they'd be behind on scheduling because of the holidays. The current students are on break from the 9th to the 16th. The bookstore also opens at this time, so I would think our schedules would be in place by then.
jmira, I'm curious about what the hours look like for classes. Would you mind sharing that bit o' info? :)
Hi dexandmon, yea I'm still waiting for my f.a. call and gettig very worried:/ so they aren't in the office today? I was so close to calling rachel to make sure my file wasn't lost because I got interviewed so so long ago (nov. 10th) and I'm feeling forgotten...I'm so happy for the people that have gotten their class schedules, I'm praying that will be me sometime soon...
I was told that admissions for everest will be there but not for the nursing dept. As of Wednesday they had only enrolled 5 out of the 40 so there is still plenty of room (and they didn't have anyone on a roller list from last time:) Happy New Year and can't wait to meet everyone at orientation:clown:
wow, dexandmon thanks for the info!! that really helps...i put my whole life on hold in order to give my 100% to try to get in this program, so at least i still have a chance. Man, i felt so confident after leaving my interview early november...i dont know whats taking so long, but ill keep my fingers crossed:) so by the way how did you find out how many people were enrolled? oh and by any chance do you know if rachel will be back monday? thanks again...i owe you!
Ah...okay :) That makes sense. There didn't seem to be much activity outside of Admissions. If you don't mind me asking...how long after you filled out the admissions paperwork did you go in to get your schedule? I'm very curious to see what the hours are like so my husband can start to plan his work schedule around it.
See you in orientation!
