Everest College Ontario RN program

U.S.A. California

Hello all,

I know there are already a couple of posts for this school, but reading through the threads I didn't get all the information that I was looking for and considering that they are pretty old threads I made a new one because I didn't think anyone would look at those anymore. I've already completed all my prereqs at a community college, but I don't want to wait around forever to get into the community college rn program.

Anyways, I wanted to find out for those who are already in the program or have the info. What kind of studying should I do for their entrance exam? What kind of stuff comes in the tests. I also would like to know the cost or estimated cost of the school. And how do they go about choosing the students for the program? What exactly is the application process?

I've already called the school, but the lady that answered the phone wasn't able to give me much info except for that info sessions are in August and the program starts up again in January.

And if you are already in the program, I would like to know how to do you find the teachers to be?? Would you say that this is a good academic choice??

Please help me as I live really far away from this school and I am moving out there just for the program. It is a little difficult for me to just drive over to visit the school. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

My math score was 86 and my english(s) were >95. My interview was Nov. 16th. And now...I wait with the rest of you. Atlho I did go ahead and renew my CPR card and annual TB test as they're due in November anyway. FYI - I've had better results getting ahold of ---- by waiting on hold instead of voicemail or email. She has her hands full all the time.

Thanks everyone, you guys all have really impressive scores. These were my scores excluding the science portions:

HESI exam scores: 93.48% 90.00% 74.00% 85.83% 72.00% 74 being Vocab, and 72 Math. Staying positive despite the not-so-great scores though!

Also, an update on my end! I just called ---- and was told that they'll be keeping my interview from my last cohort application. I was a bit thrown off by this as I agreed to re-take my interview when we reviewed test scores, but nevertheless, I'm a bit relieved to receive word about it. As you guys were probably informed, they're doing pre-selections (60-80) applicants around Christmas-New Years time, so hang in there guys. I'll be praying for all of us in this thread! :yeah:

Hi all, I'm new to the thread. I am happy to have found it and have others to share the anticipation with. I also completed my interview and now have my fingers crossed. I am working on the medical packet they gave me. Lots of shots ahead for me. I guess its true no pain no gain!.

Wow just received my call today! Very excited to have been preselected and to start the f.a. process! Watch your phones everyone! The calls are coming!

WOW! AWESOME! UGH! lol I want to get a call like now!

Hey so what exactly did they tell you? I mean, since its first come first serve from this point on, how are they making it fair for all pre selected students?

I'm not sure I know I was in the first testing session and 2nd interview date( by choice) and so thas maybe why I was an early call. But they give u a choice of f.a. dates u want.

She called and congratulated me and told me to have evrything I need in the f.a. packet with me such as tax stuff etcetera. The call was fairly quick and I was so excited I don't remember exactly all of it lol!

jmira!!!!! congrats!!!! wow, im so happy for you! im so glad they are making calls now and not around xmas! im so nervous now....gonna keep my phone on me 24/7...wish me luck! oh and by the way, around when are they doing fa appointments? yay for you!!

hey you guys, so I tested on the 15th of September and I called this past monday december 13th and I am now scheduled for an interview next Tuesday the 21st!!!. Wow, I felt like I was never gonna be called. :( Well, Ive been practicing at night time for my essay (that is the only time when there is silence @ home due to my 3 little ones. And after weeks of being happy with my essay, yesterday I read it again and I am now not satisfied with it. GREAT..just GREAT. lol.

I received the call yesterday (as i was studying for my anatomny final) and I meet with financial aide tomorrow:) Good luck everyone:)

Good luck dexandmon! Some advice...... bring cosigners! F.a. was a 5 hour process of pure hell. So glad to have that portion over with. Definitely the toughest part of it all. Bring ur fafsa printout with you as well as tax documents and proof of income etcetera. The way they package it comes out to more than 50k but I expected it. I had a horrible time getting a private loan due to poor credit. But it all worked out. I wish everyone here luck as we are almost there!
