ethical issues reviewing Grey's Anatomy

Published

does anyone watch grey's anatomy? well if so, i'm suppose to write a 3 page critique about an ethical issue on grey's anatomy describing the issue, how it was handled, if i agree with what happened, was the person acting like in a professional manner, and if a law was broken.

this is actually my second year in college only, my first law and ethics class and we haven't learned any laws yet. well the reason i am not able to do this paper is because i don't watch grey's anatomy... not only that, i don't have a tv and or a computer for home use. so any comments made would be very well appreciated. thanks!

Use the computer you're on now and go to www.abc.com and you'll find a link to "watch episodes"...click on Grey's and voila! Sorry, but the excuses don't fly because it's common knowledge that as a college student you'll have MANY needs for a computer...borrow one or go to the library and use earphones. There are a lot of solutions if you think it through.

No offense but if you really think that there's no way you can do it, let your instructor know about your issue instead of pawning off your assignment on this community. I agree that having access to a computer is necessary and I'm sure you probably know some people with access to a TV or DVD player. Maybe you could ask if you could write a paper about a different medical show if you've seen something like "House, M.D." or "Scrubs". Good luck!

I see these posts all the time. People new to the boards, and their only post is asking for someone to do an assignment for them.

Come on now.

You don't need a television to do this assignment. You can go to abc.com and watch the shows there, or you can search online for the script for each episode and read it.

Sigh. Love the show...thought we were all going to catch up on gossiping about it and therefore distract my focus from prepping from tomorrow's lab.

I really don't watch it for a lesson in ethics, but Patrick Dempsey really grew up *quite* nicely.

I can't WAIT for the new season!! I'm glad McHotty got rid of Rose. Too bad he is with Mer again....I wish he would pick me....choose me.....love me.

IndyMom4, I'm sorry to inform you but in this season he falls in love with a brand new character...ME!

NO WAY!!! Thank G-d for you ladies helping to distract me. IS SHE REALLY? Well, all it takes is just one time... :chuckle

I haven't been near a TV since school started so G-d bless my Tivo!

What else do you know??

UGH!! I hate Rose. She was way too nice and drama free.

Gosh that sounds bad! A BABY!?!?! I hadn't heard that. That's a fun new twist.

He loves Mer's drama way too much to leave again so I don't think he will end up back with Rose.

I am also really over the whole George/Izzy thing and I hope they leave that whole relationship alone.

Interested to see what happens with Callie/Hahn. Saw it coming a mile away...I wonder what they'll do with it this season.

There is an ethical issue with Izzie Stevens dating/engaged to a patient. That's the only one I can think of off the top of my head.

The end of last season, Alex's former pt/fling Rebecca came back and told him she was pregnant. Izzy was her doc, found out she wasn't really pregnant and went back and forth with whether or not to tell Alex.

Huge ethical delimma there. (HIPAA)
