ER vs Dialysis

Published

I am a RN with 4 years of General Medicine experience. It was a challenging 4 years, and I feel that I need to have a temporary change. I say, temporary because I'm also studying to go to ICU later on after I finish my studies. If you were to choose between, temp FT dialysis position vs part-permanent ER position, which one would you pick? Any input is welcome.

I'd take ER in a NY minute!

I worked dialysis and if you are talking about a fulltime chronic clinic position I would say "no thank you" and rather do part time ER - you will get a much better all around education if your plan is to go to critical care .
