Hello!
I have an interview for a RN position at an Emergency Department. However, I am an entry-level RN who hasn't worked for a year. I am really passionate about nursing and would like to ace this interview.
I have researched possible nursing interview questions, however I'm unable to find questions related more for ER department. So I am posting this hoping to get some advice on how to prepare for this interview, and certain questions or scenarios I may be asked. As well, does anyone know if you are given an arrhythmia test during the interview?
Thank you.

I found an old thread I commented on a bit. See if this is helpful. I would be prepared for EKG strip identification. You may or may not get that thrown at you. Every interview is so different but the bottom line is you need to demonstrate your critical thinking. Even if you aren't spot on in a scenario question, if you can confidently discuss your thought process that tells a lot about you.

Best of luck in your interview! Let us know how it goes.
I will! Thank you!

Our ED Nurse Manager interviews on the same panel as the Outpatient and Inpatient nurse managers. There is no arrhythmia test, I guess it would depend on what acuity your ED is that you're interviewing at. At the end of the day it is a nursing interview, just be a nurse.
