Is it me, or are US nurses able to just apply for Canadian licensure? It appears that as of 2015 the only requirement is to pass the NCLEX and because thats how majority of US nurses have become licensed technically its just fees to be rendered? Someone please clarify this. This can definitely be an epic change for endorsement licensure!

No US nurses still need to meet the CoN requirements including having a BSN. ASN is not accepted not is diploma.

Not that easy.
A four year degree is the minimum entry point for RN practice (has been since 2009). Do you have a degree?
Each province has requirements that must be met.
You need to apply to the provincial college of where you want to work to see if your education meets their standards.
Oh, and if you are thinking of Quebec, are you fluently bilingual?

Aside from the BSN, you will also need to study for and pass the jurisprudence exam that is now required in many Provinces. This exam is in addition to the NCLEX.

In the same way a Canadian who has passed NCLEX for Canada they still have to meet state requirements and pay fees if they want to work in the US so does someone who has passed NCLEX in the US and wants to work in Canada they have to meet provincial requirements
