Hopefully with the nurses of this generation we will see nursing take a turn for the better. Women today will not take the same conditions we have for so many years. With that, we will have more ideas, more voices and more independent nurses who can change nursing as socitety knows it. I have tried, but it's difficult to do it alone. I would love to see more nurses in business. It's time for changes. I think our biggest problem is we are not taught where to begin and to think out of the box.

Now, if we can just get the many experienced voices of nurses to pass on the wisdom, the younger generation of new grads can hit the floor running with a great set of ideals. After they have found their niche and gotten over the scary first year or two, they can take these ideas that have been planted in their brains and work on them. Let's take the ball and run with it!

You could say.. I have begun. I am no where near where I want to be though....
I think of "it" (where am I at professionally) with the nursing process of assessing, planning, and the implementation. I regularly evaluate how to obtain my goal, stay positive, and be nurtured by myself and my suroundings.
I love this forum. For me, AllNurses.com was the beginning of thinking "out of the box". Where the beginning is with you is for you to define.
Let's all do this together.. there is plenty of patient / client needs to go around... Let's ALL be the best that we can be.. and have fun doing "IT"!
Your comments, ideas, and thoughts are greatly appreciated.

(((((NurseKaren))))))):kiss You are amazing my dear....
What is your favorite search engine? I have used google and never found these articles (which I will read thoroughly later)?
:) Bonnie
My new best friend--GOOGLE.
You need to also take a stroll to the nearest college with a school of nursing. Go to their library-you can usually do a search on CINAHL and medical seach engines for FREE too, where you will get tons of info including books. Because I'm in college, get access on line thru schools website.
RE Nurse Entrepreneurs ---found a lot on google that smacked of too comercial, get rich quick schemes on first four pages...more meat after that. All of the above from google...much I had come across before so I knew where to go to look for website link.
I usually read two hrs a night online these days to keep up-to-date re business of healthcare for my job + FUN stuff here.
