Hi guys! I am new to this forum and found it has LOTS of useful info. I am in Texas and here the program is called LVN, same difference, anyhow my question was I am going to be taking the entrance exam for the LVN program next summer, and I wanted to know what I can expect on the math portion. Anyone have any tips? I am currently taking AP1 and Med. Term, it is not required as a pre req. but thought I would get a feel for it. Thanks for everyone's help!

I didn't take the NET test I took the TEAS so any help I can give is about the TEAS.
The hardest thing for me was the metric conversions. I think I had 3 or 4 conversion questions and missed them all. Other than that, it was algebra and lots and lots of fractions. I think everything on the math portion was stuff I learned in high school, no statistics or college algebra. Just review what you know and borrow a NET review book from a friend or library. I almost bout the book but I didn't think it was worth it. (My school just switched from the NET to the TEAS.)
Good luck on the test! And wish me luck, too. I start my first nursing class on Monday. I am SOOOOO nervous (and really excited)!
