Enrolling into Excelsior LPN-RN

Nursing Students Excelsior

Published

I'm excited to say that I will be enrolling into Excelsior's LPN-RN program this week. I recently applied to a traditional community college lpn-rn but decided I can have half the exams completed with excelsior before they even make their decisions. Any advice that current students can offer is helpful.

I think you are right to do so. I attempted to apply at a community college for their bridge program and they wouldn't even accept my application, telling me that it would be a year before they would consider my application. By the time that year rolled around, I had already graduated from Excelsior and had the RN in hand. You're going to love EC's program and the connections you make while you are there. Congratulations on such a wise decision!

Thanks so much, I'm excited and can't wait to have my transcripts evaluated. I'm hoping I can finish all the nursing exams between Feb and April

Im no expert on the subject, but recently read an article on excelsior's RN program that you may want to read. make sure that your board will allow you to sit for the nclex. http://www.rn.ca.gov/pdfs/forms/excelsiornewsrelease.pdf

I live in PA, Excelsior is accepted here.

Texas accepts Excelsior! :) Congrats! Which exam are you starting with shai2012?

Transitions. Once they review my transcripts and enroll I will do Health Safety.

I just got done with Transitions.... its really dry, but just grit your teeth and get it over with as soon as possible.... I'm studying for Health Safety now.

How long did it take for you to study for this exam?

Two months... it was really hard for me to study such dry material.... I'm sure its completely do-able to study for two weeks-1 month and pass. Its not a hard test, just really boring for me. Health Safety's study material has been easier for me to digest.
