Hi all,
does anyone have any info on rank or anything about prior service.
I am applying to a few Direct MDE programs all over the country.
I have 8 years currently and want to know what rank I would have upon commission. I
have a bachelors in Health science and applying to grad school direct NP program in PMH.
any info would be of much help.
been reading the blocks but nothing on prior service and rank placement.
Does anyone have a formula for the ranks?I have 4 years in National guard as enlisted, getting commissioned as a nurse in Army National Guard or Reserves. Also 1 year of civilian experience on med- surge floor
Any suggestions about the rank?
2LT. One year of civilian nursing experience = 6 months of credit toward rank. You'll probably promote a wee bit faster to 1LT. Enlisted time doesn't count toward rank, but it will help your pay if you served enough to qualify for O-1E pay.

I was commissioned on an ASN and a Bachelor (non-nursing). I'm not sure if the requirements have changed. That was 2011.
