Hi!

I'm a newbie here. The forum is a very informative one, but there are still alot of things that has been bothering me. Questions that are left unanswered.

I do need help! Pls

Questions:

1. In applying for NCLEX Exam/ATT/USA RN licensure, which state would process it faster?

2. How many weeks does it take before u recieve ur ATT if u applied in New York?

3. When apllying for nurse licensure/NCLEX in New York, do i need first to take CGNFS?

4. Is there a specific place where one can avail the Notary?

5. Which is highly recommended:

> take and pass IELTS and NCLEX first using ur own money then

look for an employer to sponsor ur working visa? or

> look for an employer to petition ur working visa, take and

pass IELTS and NCLEX exam? or

> find a good agency to process everything including pay for ur

exams

6. Which above choices (question #5) would help u land a job and work in the USA in due time (fastest way)?

7. Any good nurse recruitment agency that is reliable and highly recommended?

8. If u want to work in the USA, what is the steps that u need to do?

(pass the exams then find employer OR find employer then pass exam)

9. Can anyone recommend me a good immigration lawyer for nurses to help with the processing? How much would be the available cost to pay for an attorney?

Thanks for the time. Any kind of help is highly appreciated.

God Bless!

Hello.

I will help you as to all your questions it can all be seen on other threads. I would like to add info that if you are looking for faster processing USA is not gonna be the best choice. I passed all exams even English tests but the problem is the present retrogression that is happening right now. Nurses bound to states would have to wait for 4 or 5 years to have thier Priority dates to be current. I tell you there is no gaurantee that you can be in states for months unlike before where nurses are place at schedule A positions.

Put the blame on the schools and recruitment agencies. They ae the ones telling us that USA needs a lot of nurses where in fact they had lots of nurses on thier registry per state, but doesn't like to work because of poor compensation. To us nurses from the Philippines it's big but to native born nurses in America their wage is a crap.

I tell you the hard truth as Suzanne always stressed out no immediate nursing deployment . I myself will tell you if you want USA, patience is a virtue.

I'm not hurting you, it's the truth. I am already hurt by these a long time ago.

hi!

i'm a newbie here. the forum is a very informative one, but there are still alot of things that has been bothering me. questions that are left unanswered.

i do need help! pls

questions:

1. in applying for nclex exam/att/usa rn licensure, which state would process it faster? you really need to be applying to the state you want to work in, because regardless on where you trained you still need to meet their requirements when endorsing your license

2. how many weeks does it take before u recieve ur att if u applied in new york?because you need cvs with ny you are looking at anything from 8 months upwards before recieving permission to sit nclex. also if endorsing your license to ny you will need cvs doing.

3. when apllying for nurse licensure/nclex in new york, do i need first to take cgnfs?cgfns exam is only required for a handful of states and ny is not one of them

4. is there a specific place where one can avail the notary?

5. which is highly recommended:

> take and pass ielts and nclex first using ur own money then

look for an employer to sponsor ur working visa? or

> look for an employer to petition ur working visa, take and

pass ielts and nclex exam? or

> find a good agency to process everything including pay for ur

exams why pay an agency when you have more control over where you work. much better to pass nclex and then look for an employer

6. which above choices (question #5) would help u land a job and work in the usa in due time (fastest way)? there is retrogression in progress so no quick way to move to the us

7. any good nurse recruitment agency that is reliable and highly recommended? better to do direct, suggest doing a search on agencies

8. if u want to work in the usa, what is the steps that u need to do?

(pass the exams then find employer or find employer then pass exam) see answer to number 5

9. can anyone recommend me a good immigration lawyer for nurses to help with the processing? how much would be the available cost to pay for an attorney? can either use employers lawyer or find a lawyer to do the process but can't be done until you find employer

thanks for the time. any kind of help is highly appreciated.

god bless!

very hard to find a job in ny, hospitals are not petitioning, may get a job in a nursing home but a risk to your license whilst you are getting used to a new way of working.

suggest you also have a read about retrogression. it is affecting everyone at the moment and no telling when it will finish. many hospitals at the moment are not accepting foreign nurses due to not knowing when it will end. only i140 is being processed at the moment

:welcome:

Suggest that you read the Primer at the top of this forum. You will be applying for licensure as an RN, you do not apply for the ATT, or the NCLEX exam. The exam is the final step in the licensing process, and far from the one step.

NY actually is the longest to get approval from, on average about 8 months.

All that you have asked in questions is available already on this forum. So will not answer them again here. Every single one has been answered many times over.

There is no fast way to the US, period. Your country has an abundance of nurses and no place for them to work. The US does not have a need for all of them. You are looking at about two years plus at this point in time, perhaps even longer. So do not even think about months, just is not going to happen.

And an employer in the US cannot even legally offer you a job until you have passed either the NCLEX-RN or the CGFNS exam.

Please take the time to do some reading here.
