Hi there
I am an English nurse working in an Emergency Department in Nottingham, England. I am hoping to receive a travel scholarship to enable me to to travel to the US, with a view to spending time in an Emergency Department (ER).
I am particularly interested in hearing from nurses within an Acute trauma Centre, who would like to exchange ideas and hopefully be able to shadow a nurse and work with her/him once I get across there.
It will be on a temporary basis, I would like to stay hopefully in the US for approx 8 weeks, working alongside nurses in the ER. Working and observing on the shopfloor the day to day running of a Trauma ER.
Any nurses interested in an exchange of ideas and working pratcices then please contact me at [email protected].
Hopefully speak to you soon

This reminds me of a funny story! Members of the Iranian council (not sure of the title) came to Memphis for a tour of Martin Luther King and civil rights museum. They are touring US to see how democracy works.
Our "brilliant" city council denied them access to the federal buildings because of "possible security breaches". In other words, they might bomb the place.! AS if that wasnt bad enough, they were robbed at gunpoint while visiting downtown. We really made an impression!! Hooray for Democracy!!
