Wish I could help. I've had Eng Comp but not sure what you mean by EC exam. Maybe make your question more specific? Good Luck!

If you have not signed up for the EC English Comp, you may want to consider the UEXCEL test. It is a 3 credit test, but cost under $100 including the practice writing tool.

CLEP is also another option and it will transfer to most other colleges as well.

I don't believe you can clep eng comp for the excelsior program. I know this is old, just for new readers who aren't aware.

I took this exam twice because my first time, I got a D, and EC requires a C or above. When I was getting ready to repeat this exam, I read the EC study guide from front to back. Make sure you do this! Also study the books they send you in the learning package and practice writing essays. Have someone proofread and critique your "practice" essays. I didn't prepare enough the first time, which is why I ended up with a D. Even if writing is one of your strengths, make sure to read the EC study guide so you will know what they are looking for! Good luck to you! I just graduated from EC on 12-20-13 with my associate's degree!
