England: where to get photos done for interview?

Hi!

can anyone tell me where is the best place to get the photos done for the embassy? I have tried a few of the high street photgraphy shops (like janet greens) and they have all looked at me stupidly when I asked if they could produce photos to the embassy's requirements.

Any suggestions?

You mean passport size photos?

yes but the USCIS website has VERY specific instructions on how much space between the top of the head etc, etc! I don't think a normal passport photo will do.

Has anyone had their interview recently and can let me know where they had their photos done?

Most places you have to ask if they do American size passport photos.as they are bigger than the UK passport photos. I do not know if you are in London but on my way to the US embassy to notarise my form I went to a shop in Bond Street. If you come out of Bond Street then turn left walk up towards Marble Arch on the same side of the road past ECCO (shoe shop) round there there is a sign on the street saying "passport photos" and the studio is 2 flights up a narrow staircase and they did my photos noce for 5pounds for 4. But if you are not in London its no good I guess. But I know most places that do photos do American sized photos, the best is to ask proper studios if you are having trouble coz I had some done in those chemists that claim to do passport photos a waste to be honest. Regular passport size photo will do!

Go to any studio and show them your specific instructions. They'll do just what you tell them to do.

As long as your whole face can be seen clearly and the photo itself is passport size , it is good enough for CIS.

us passport photos are not the same size as they are in the uk.

we were given the names of only 2 photographers in the whole of scotland who did them and even then we needed an appointment. eventually just had them done in a place near the embassy in london on the day of our interviews.

ps...post this on the uk site as there are many nurses coming from england who will give you the info.
