endorsing to another state

My original license state is california. If I endorse it to another state, can I still keep my original license active ?

I'm current license in CA, but I 'm willing to relocated to another state such as a compact license state, Do I have to live in that compact state then apply for endorsement license? or I can apply without living their. Please help

You do not have to live in a state in order to apply for a license there. If you live in CA, you can apply for other state's licenses by endorsement while still living in CA.

hi everyone. i took ca nclex-rn last week and passed but i am thinking i am going to endorse ca license to texas license. i read all posted message so as long as i pay and keep ca ce, i can keep both license right? i am international nursing graduate( gc holder and have ssn#) so i have to collect all documentations from my original contry so maybe i should start collecting my documents. i have a question about texas nurisng jurispudence exam. how was the exam? is it difficult to pass? thank you for your help.

Hello, I took my boards in California and I am also licensed in Pennsylvannia by endorsement. I needed it to work over the summer in a camp. I was able to get a temporary license within 2-1/2 2weeks which is acceptable until it is finalized. Three to four parts to speed up the process; 1. download and complete the endorsement application to the state you will be working , also talk to a live person (get a contact name). 2. Complete a form from the original boards or submit the form to California from the state needing it, they will verify your info. If you send it with a stamped envelope or fax number it will get sent faster. 3. Contact your nursing school to expedited & fax your transcript directly to the endorsing state. 4. Some states require pre-requisite courses to be completed on-line; NY requires abuse type courses, etc. You can find out everything for the state's board of all requiements needed. It can be costly $120. endorsement, transfer paperwork from california $65., transcripts (urgent) $10-15.

Each state will require renewal fees and CEUs for each state. Hope this helps!!
