NCLEX is a national exam, and once it is written and passed, your results are valid for the exam in all fifty states as well as US territories.
As soon as you write the NCLEX exam, you are technically not a graduate nurse any longer, pending outcome of the exam.
You will need to follow the License by Endorsement process for the license in CA if you get one issued first in Fl. Quite simple to do, just follow what the BRN asks for as mentioned above.
I am going to move this to the NCLEX Forum since it is more specific about taking the exam and licensure, then the GN forum.

HI.....
I recently graduate from nursing school in FL. I am planning to take boards here in FL and endorse my license to CA for personal reason. Does anyone tell me if it is the best option I have or I should take my boards in CA? I am not sure what to do because I am scared to loose my quality of GN. I also would like to know from where I can get more info. Has any of you done licensure endorsement? When I endorse my license should I have to take another exam or what should I expect?
Hope anyone can help me to take a decision......
Thank you in advance!!!!!!!!!!
