Post moved to a thread on its own. You do not transfer licenses in the US but endorse them between states. You need to meet the requirements for license by endorsement in NY, complete the application process and pay whatever fees are required by NY BoN to endorse your license and CA BRN or CABVNPT for license verification as part of the processes.

If you are an internationally educated nurse, then you need to meet the requirements of an internationally educated nurse for license in NY which can take 6 months or more for the assessment by CGFNS.
