Okay, I feel like an idiot, but don't judge me! Lol. I currently have a MD state RN license. I just accepted a job offer for a new grad peds position, but the hospital is in DC, which isn't in the multistate compact. When I have my licensed endorsed to get a DC license, does my MD license just expire, or will I just have two licenses? I feel like an idiot asking, but I was just curious.

You will have two licenses. Licensure in the new state has nothing to do with "transferring" your existing license or anything like that -- you are applying for a new license in the new state, and it has no effect at all on your current license, which will remain valid/active. You can have as many licenses (in as many states) as you are willing to pay for.
Ok thanks!!!
