En ouragement..you CAN do it!

Hi! I am not much of a blogger, but several friends of mine suggested that my story might be encouraging to anyone who ever feels like giving up. I am a single mother or four beautiful children. I was 4 months pregnant with my last child when my partner left me. I also had a one year old, a 7 year old, and a 13 year old. We had to leave our place and I moved home with my mother. I was working a full time job and going to school full time, trying to get the prerequisites to enter the nursing program. We had a monumental time of it. But God is sooo good all the time and we had our faith and each other. I made it through. In nursing school, I frequently had to carry the med-surg book, the peds books, every single study element with me everywhere. To the doctor's office, dentist, recitals, school events, etc. I would sometimes not sleep so I could study, clean, wash clothes, care for a sick baby. It seemed as though I would NEVER make it. My friends were very supportive. I began to find people who would and could help me. I made it through. I made it through. God's grace...I made it through. I passed my NCLEX and now work on a med-surg/oncology floor. My best friend Rockel (who was many a life saver!) will be working with me. I just wanted anyone who needs to know that no matter how hard or how impossible a situation is, if you believe....REALLY believe...God always finds a way.:wink2:

God's grace is bountiful. Thank you for sharing...you are such an inspiration.

Specializes in Medical and general practice now LTC.

Thanks for sharing what must have been a very trying time, congrats on making it through

:hpygrp::ancong!::anpom: Though the odds may not be in your favor, you can do it. Though the challenges are great, you can make it happen.

People will likely tell you it's impossible. Even so, you can find a way to make it possible and to make it real.

When it means enough to you, then you can do it. When you are willing and committed and persistent, you will get yourself there.

Look within yourself and find those values that you most earnestly desire to express with your life. The things that are most genuinely important to you are the things that will power your achievements.

When you can put the power of your passion behind it, you will create it. Make the effort to find and to know that passion, and there is no limit to what you can accomplish.

Be utterly true to who you are. And fulfill your greatest possibilities. :anpom::ancong!::hpygrp:

Specializes in none.

Thank you for sharing your story. For those of us who are nclex repeaters, this is one more story of so many that is so encouraging. It's really easy to get lost in our circumstances and feeling sorry for ourselves. But perseverance and the belief that God put us in this and will get all of us through it if we just DO NOT give up no matter what. Thanks for sharing and God bless you & your family. I really needed to hear that today.
