Employment background check

It was suggested to me to omit any work experience in my resume than lasted less than a year. This was a non nursing job. Should I heed to that advice and omit any job that lasted less than 12 months?

on your resume, you only have to list whatever you want to list. When you fill out the job application however it will say something like "list all the jobs you had in the last 5 years". In that case, you will need to list those short-term jobs. Otherwise, you're fine

If there is a discrepancy between resume and application would not be a problem? When they do background checks, do places of non nursing employment show up?
