Emory RN Residency Summer/Fall 2016

Published

Hi!

I graduate May 2016 and was wondering if anyone happen to know when Emory healthcare was opening their RN residency application for summer or fall of 2016?

Also GOOD LUCK! I'm sure you will do great..just relax

I interviewed for EUH and it was a panel with ICU/ED. They asked us 1 question and each question was different.

Was it intimidating to only have to answer one question? Seems like you couldn't really talk about yourself a lot, eekkk...

Well we all gave a very brief intro. Then after they asked the one question they asked all of us to tell them what hands on experience did we have, as far as, what have we been able to do clinical like, IV's, med admin, foley insertions and the likes. Then we all got to ask a question. They said they are only hiring about 6 people for the ED but I'm not sure if that's at all locations or just 6 at EUH, and they made a comment about only hiring 1-2 for ICU 2x a years but again I'm not sure if it's just per location or what not. It was a bit intimidating because you had to sell yourself with barely any info. They anticipated asking us another question each but they ran out of time. I didn't feel very confident after leaving.

I also didn't anticipate there being SOOO many people there. I know they had to have interviewed at least 400 people today considering they are interviewing until 6pm and there were about 50 people at the 10 o'clock time frame.

This is exactly why after I left, I called an accepted a previous offer I had lol

Oh wow! I can definitely see how that would be intimidating... Yikes! Kinda makes me feel diluted about applying next time :(

I think I remember seeing another one of your posts lol .. did you get an offer from Piedmont or CHOA?

Yes there were sooooo many people there!

It was 722 people there according to one of the workers I spoke with. Soooo many people! Then I didn't know who I was even interviewing with until I sat down.

And K1048 I did THE SAME exact thing. Accepted another offer at another hospital. What did you interview for?

Or 722 people who are supposed to be interviewed rather.

That's crazyyy! I don't remember my friend telling me it was like that last year when she applied.
