Emory New Grad Residency - Summer 2015

Published

Hey everyone!

Since it's been done in the past, I figured I would make a thread for us hopefuls applying to Emory's new grad residency program for summer 2015. I know the waiting period can feel quite lengthy and people seem to hear stuff about the review process at different times, so please feel free to share which area you've applied for and if you've heard anything back so far. :)

I applied for Women's Services (NICU) and received an email today:

"Your resume has been successfully reviewed by our Talent Acquisition team and has been forwarded to the hiring department for further review."

I received the same thing today. Silly question, but in your application, was there anywhere for you to specify which unit you want? I just stated my preference in my cover letter, but don't recall seeing anything unit specific on the application.

Honestly, I have completed so many applications that I don't really remember. However, I clearly state in all my cover letters that I am only interested in NICU.

Good Luck!!!

Hey I applied to this also. I got an email the same day saying my application had been forwarded, then I got another email yesterday about filling out an information sheet. That is where u choose your top 2 hospitals and top 2 units.

Hi you all,

Have you guys heard any news from Emory yet. I did got the email back and filled out the information sheet and submitted it.

Hey I applied at the end of March and did the questionnaire. They emailed me back about critical care yesterday saying the interview is the 28th. They are group panel interviews. They also said they will be sending times out next week.

Which location contacted you about the interview? I have been scheduled for an interview with University Hospital for perioperative, but I haven't heard back from University Hospital Midtown yet.

I sent in the questionnaire soon after it was emailed to everyone. I have not heard anything about interviews yet. I am coming from the Northeast and need to make arrangements so I can make this interview. Any advice?

Hi Preppy_1,

I received an email yesterday to interview on April 30th for Women's Health at 2:00pm. The interview is being held at Emory University Hospital Midtown. The email actually went to my junk folder so you might want to check there.

Thanks Mellie9645!

I checked my junk folder and didn't find anything. I think I will call their career office tomorrow.

I got an email on the 15th also that scheduled my interview basically the same as mellie's! I'm going on April 30th at Midtown for women's health, but mine is at 10am. Since I've been getting so many emails from Emory lately, it also went to my junk folder at first.

Has everyone else received all those packets and things from Emory? I feel like they're jumping the gun sending out that kind of information, especially about the contract
