Emory New Grad Residency Spring 2012

Published

Hello:

Has anyone applied to Emory's New Grad Nursing program for March 2012? If so, has anyone received an invitation to interview? I am anxiously waiting and wondering if I am the only one.

Hey Limelight,

I applied for the program that starts in Mar. I was wondering exactly how this Emory thing works because when I've called they say that they have already picked the people for Mar? Do you know how it works?

Hi HeadRNBSN40:

I applied for the program that starts in March as well. I'm not exactly sure how the selection process works. Do you know exactly what date the program starts? How long ago did you call you? I was thinking about calling but wasnt sure if I should. Did you reach out to them first or did someone from Emory initiate contact with you? I have been checking the status of my application online but it doesn't provide much information.

I got an email saying that they have recieved my application and will be setting up interviews. That was 1/26/2012. They are hiring 46 and the program starts on March 19,and you must have your license by then. I actually just accepted a position elsewhere, but just thought I would share the info I recieved.

Hi MJB2010:

Thanks for the information. If you don't mind me asking, where is the position that you recently accepted?

Hey Limelight,

I actually received an email about 2 weeks ago saying the same thing MJB2010 said, and like she said they start on Mar 19, the email talked about where they were looking to hire and that they would be setting up interviews once they look at your resume. I didn't know that you could chek your application status online? Where do you do for that? I know with Piedmount you can check the status but not Emory. I called them first and then 2 weeks later I got the email which was wierd because they told me they were done?! So we'll see, I hope to hear something soon.

I did my practicum in an Emory ICU and applied to the new grad program. I have an interview scheduled for Monday with the unit director of the floor where I did my practicum. Hopefully everyone hears about interviews soon!

Hi Everyone:

Thanks for all the replies. Hopefully I will hear something soon. HeadRNBSN40, if you log in to the Emory's career site and click on job submission status you can see the status of your application.

BTW: I'm a new member so I can send private messages yet.

Hello like some of you I am patiently awaiting an interview. I spoke to HR and was told that I was under consideration and that was just a week ago. I didn't get the email that said that they were done with their selection and when I check my status its gone now. I once saw where it said I was under consideration, but now nothing comes up. It simply says that I have no job submissions. Crazy huh. I am just going to sit and waiit and pray that I at the least get an interview.

Hey Everybody,

To CHINBLK: I didn't know that they had sent out any emails saying that they were done. I'm kind of lost for words, I actually talked with the HR person and asked me what area I was interseted in, but I have yet to get an interview. I'm about to go to the next thing. The program starts in about a month. When I look at my status it only says open? I have no clue what this means since I have actully spoke with HR. I do remember reading that a person from last year felt like bc she had her practicum there that was what put her in the position to get the job.

Hello HeadRN, I read that on here and have never recieved one either, I also spoke to the HR person and was also asked where I would be interested to go, I thought that conversation went well, so I was forwarded a few forms to fill out. I did that and I havent heard back since. Its a grueling waiting game. I completed many of my clinical rotations there also but I am not sure what they are really going by. Its a waiting game and with March 19th drawing so near its a nerve racking, waiting game. Good luck though.

CHINBLK, wow well I never did any rotations there. What kind of forms did you have to fill out? As you did, I thought my conversation went well too but I guess them asking you what you're interseted in really does not mean that much. I thought that was a sure interview waiting to happen. Well the HR person said that she was setting up interviews in the next two weeks and this would be the last week so we just have to see. Good luck to you too, if not then I will be going to my next option.
